Journey to Relaxation

This might be a true test if this technique really works. I had a rough day and really could use some relaxation. I found out that I may have overextended myself (in my case that translates as I officially need 26 hour days) and also that I am highly allergic to ant bites. I am trying this meditation at 1:30 AM :( I do feel a little better after completing this exercise although I am sure I would have felt a lot better if I wasn't having an allergic reaction. Truthfully, my arms and hands still do feel a little bit warmer. Will have to try this again in the near future! Bye for now, Adrienne

  1. Adrienne,

So sorry you were having a reaction to ant bites. That does not sound fun. I imagine that although the autogenic training technique gave you a little relief from your bites it did not take the pain or itchiness away completly. I felt a major release in my neck while relaxing and breathing in new blood cirulation. Amazing!

  2. Hi Danielle, I really tried the technique but you're right, it does not work with bug bites :). It was an interesting experience and I will try it again.

  3. Adrienne, it truly is a relaxing experience especially if you are in a place where there are no interruptions, but I suppose the bug bites would count as an interruptions

  4. I bet at 1:30 in the morning you were really tired too on top of the bug bites "bugging" you! Hopefully you can try it again and see if it helps!

  5. Adrienne-sorry about the ant bites and allergic reaction! Hopefully you won't be up at 130AM with ant bites trying to relax next time! I found the exercise very relaxing.
