Wisdom
I'm afraid that everyone knows that I prefer Integral Health to Consciousness & Healing, but I really liked some of the concepts in C&H in this unit. Roger Walsh talked about the Cultivation of Wisdom which is a concept discussed in many of the world's major religions. What I'll take from this is " Knowledge informs us, but wisdom transforms us". A really profound concept as we learn concepts and ideas from books but do we really understand what we read? It is the ability to take that knowledge and see what it really means and how it impacts the world around us. This is one thing I know I will take from this class and try to use in the real world. I have to put it up there with "respond not react".

The concept of wisdom transforming us is one I like, as well. It just shows us that we can learn as much as we can from texts, and books, and by studying, but the more valuable, life lessons come from experiencing things first-hand, and learning from the process. "life is a journey, not a destination".
